GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs avenged a loss in the season opener here Tuesday night with a 79-60 win over Delgado Community College.
Holmes plays Southwest at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday in Goodman.
Holmes led 47-25 at halftime, but Delgado outscored Holmes 35-32 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome a big halftime lead for the Lady Bulldogs.
Bella Roberts led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points while Kelsey Federick had 11. Darranya Wright led the Lady Bulldogs with seven rebounds while Trinity Lewis had six.
