SUMMIT —- The No. 5 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 9-2 and 4-0 in the MACCC after picking up a 5-0 win here Friday over the Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears.
Holmes will play at Pearl River at 7 p.m. Friday.
Bailee Fairley gave Holmes the 1-0 lead in the seventh minute on an assist from Sammi Doyle.
Olivia Tribolet increased the lead to 2-0 in the 19th minute on assist from Fairley.
Holmes added one more goal before halftime when Emma Korhonen scored on an assist from Abigail DeAngelo.
The Lady Bulldogs added another goal in the 74th minute on a goal from Kaylee Avant on an assist from Tribolet.
The final goal came in the 81st when KK Morris scored on an assist from Avant.
Addi Roberts and Katie Smith split time in goal. Roberts had one save while Smith had two saves.
Against Itawamba Tuesday, Holmes won 4-0.
Morris got the scoring going in the 12th minute on an assist from Brenna Sanford.
Avant scored on an assist from Christina Guzman in the 14th minute to put Holmes up 2-0. Holmes led 2-0 at halftime.
Tribolet scored on an assist from Morgan Walberg in the 71st minute to increase the lead to 3-0.
Kristen Phillips scored the final goal on an assist from Avant in the 80th minute.
Smith and Roberts split time in goal. Smith had four saves and Roberts had two.
