RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up a 3-0 Region 23 quarterfinal win here Saturday afternoon over the Copiah-Lincoln Lady Wolves.
Holmes, now 14-3-2, will play Pearl River in the Region 23 semifinals on Thursday in Ellisville at Jones College. Gametime is undecided.
Anna Beth Korhonen got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the 35th minute on an assist from Kaylee Avant. Holmes led 1-0 at halftime.
The Lady Bulldogs went up 2-0 in the 65th minute when Brooklynn Samonski scored on an assist from Christina Guzman.
Holmes' final goal came in the 80th minute when Olivia Tribolet scored on an assist from Kristen Phillips.
Addi Roberts got the start in goal and had two saves while Katie Smith played the second half and had four saves.
