Lady Bulldogs fall to Lady Rangers in NJCAA semifinals

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs' season came to an end today in the semifinals of the 2024 NJCAA Women's Division II National Tournament to the Northwest Mississippi Community College Lady Rangers, 3-0.

Holmes finished the season at 17-5-2. Holmes made it to the semis by knocking off their two Pool Play opponents, Phoenix and Schoolcraft, with identical 3-1 scores. Olivia Tribolet finished the tournament with two goals while Kaylee Avant, Stevie Kerns, Bailee Fairley and Kristen Phillips each had one.

The Rangers went up 1-0 in the 37th minute and led 1-0 at halftime. 

Northwest scored twice more in the second half to pull out the win.

The Lady Bulldogs finished with 22 shots and eight on goal today but couldn't get one in the back of the net. Fairley had three shots on goal while Avant had two.

Addi Roberts finished with three saves while Katie Smith had two.
