Tennis awards given out at postseason athletic banquet

The Spring Semester Athletic Banquet was held Tuesday night in Frank Branch Coliseum recognizing athletes from men's and women's basketball, softball, tennis and cheer on their accomplishments in the classroom and on the athletic playing surface.

Tennis awards included: MVP, Ashleigh Pope and Matthew Philley; Bulldog Award, Lucy Oakes, Merritt Blackwell and Matthew Dubourg; Most Improved, Savanna Bell and Chris Stuckey; Sportsmanship Award, Brittany Graham and Eric Menefee; Heart of a Champion, Jessica May and Hayden Switzer; Animal Award, Odyssey Brewer, Rylee Artman and Emanuel Brooks; Manager Award, Myisha Thurman, A'Lexus Williams and Taylor Pickle; Outstanding Student Trainer, Cortez Jennings; and Scholar Athlete Award, Savanna Bell, Myisha Thurman, Odyssey Brewer, Rylee Artman, Merritt Blackwell, Matthew Dubourg, Chris Stuckey and Hayden Switzer.
